"World Above" Recognition Awards

The ”World Above” recognition awards were conceived to express that feeling of accomplishing something “above and beyond” the ordinary; something so remarkable that it is truly "out of this world." The unique awards design features an abstract figure reaching high above its head and holding a globe. The figure is open, representing an individual being open to new ideas, new thinking, and new ways of being in the world – attributes that lead to truly remarkable achievements. This design honors those who are a “world above and a world apart” from their contemporaries. These unique awards, designed by artist MK Shannon, stand 10” tall (including their marble base). The World Above sculpture awards are created in pewter, and are available in one of three finishes: 1) a brushed pewter finish (shown in the photo above); 2) silver plating; and 3) gold plating. World Above’s black marble base can be customized with an engraving of your choice for a small additional charge.
