Underwriters Laboratories (UL) "Mark of Excellence" Custom Awards

Bennett Awards produced a set of custom corporate recognition awards for UL's prestigious “UL Mark of Excellence” awards program. UL is widely recognized as the one of the world’s leading product safety and certification organizations. The UL Mark of Excellence awards were introduced in 2007, so that UL could better promote their cultural and leadership transformation that began during the previous year. The UL Mark of Excellence Awards recognize UL colleagues who have achieved outstanding business results through the use of strategic consensus, employee engagement, solid business acumen and a strong customer focus. Winners of these unique achievement awards have achieved measurable results, utilized good process, demonstrated a continuous improvement mindset, and their accomplishments are aligned with UL’s mission, goals and objectives.

All UL employees, across all UL divisions and global locations, are eligible for the UL Mark of Excellence Awards. Any UL employee may submit a recognition award nomination for any other UL employee or team. All achievement award nominations are reviewed by a special committee, and ratified by the UL CEO and his staff. These distinctive corporate awards are presented to award recipients each year at a recognition awards ceremony held at UL’s corporate headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. To date, 299 of these achievement awards have been awarded.

Bennett Awards worked with UL to design and produce these unique company awards based on a specification provided by UL. The sculpture awards are produced in pewter, and feature two interlocking curved planes in an impressionistic shape of a “U”. These clean, innovative sculpture awards are mounted on a black marble base. Customized engraved plate is affixed to the bases, and feature the name of the award, year of presentation, recipient name, and the UL logo and tagline.
