Tandem Surfing "Richard Salick Aloha Spirit" Custom Award

Bennett Awards designed and produced a new custom awards design for a tandem surfing world competition. The competition is the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) 6 Star World Tandem Tour Event, held held each Labor Day weekend in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The custom awards design that Bennett Awards developed is for a new perpetual award called the "Richard Salick Tandem Surfing Aloha Spirit Award". This unique award honors the tandem couple that exhibits the most “aloha spirit” throughout the NKF tandem surfing competition.

This custom award is a 10 year perpetual award that is presented each year at the National Kidney Foundation Tandem Surfing Competition. The custom awards design was created by Bennett Awards artist Tom Bennett, and features a realistic interpretation of a tandem surfing couple. This unique award is produced in high polished bronze, and mounted on a black marble base with the name of the award and name of the sponsor. The custom awards design was developed in conjunction with Dr. Lance Maki, the event’s main organizer. Dr. Maki, along with Jaci Remrey, was also the first recipient of this unique award.
