Skateboarding Hall of Fame Inductee Awards

Bennett Awards designed and produced a new set of custom awards for the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. These custom awards were first used as recognition awards for the 2010 class of inductees into the Hall of Fame. The objective of these custom awards and the Hall of Fame induction is to ensure that legendary skateboarders are recognized by their peers and remembered by future generations. The inductees are voted on by members of the International Association of Skateboarding Companies (IASC) and other industry insiders. The annual induction event is put on by the IASC and Skatelab.

For these unique awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom awards design based on the 3D representation of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame logo. These recognition awards feature one end of a skateboard, including the deck, truck and wheels, on top of the Hall of Fame logotype. These unique awards are cast in pewter, and feature a patina and brushed pewter finish. The custom awards are mounted on a black marble base that is engraved with the name of the recipient.

These custom awards were first presented to inductees at an induction ceremony held December 4, 2010, at the Cooper Building in Los Angeles. This was the second annual induction ceremony. These year’s inductees were Stacey Peralta, Torger Johnson, Steve Caballero, Eric Koston, Bob Burnquist and Patti McGeem, who is the first female inductee into the Hall of Fame. The 2009 inductees were Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Tony Hawk and Danny Way. The Skateboarding Hall of Fame is located in Simi Valley, California.
