Hugh Hefner Receives Bennett Recognition Award

Hugh Hefner, the well-known magazine publisher and founder of Playboy, recently received a Bennett recognition award. The unique award "Soul Mates" was presented to Hefner as a humanitarian award by the Los Angeles Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO-LA) in recognition of his outstanding entrepreneurial accomplishments. The recognition award was presented to Hefner on September 26, 2009, at EO-LA’s annual Business and Entertainment Charity Event. This event and corporate awards presentation was held on the grounds of the Playboy Mansion, and was attended by more than 1,600 dignitaries, celebrity supporters, guests and EO members.

Proceeds from the awards event benefited the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization, a non-profit organization promoting and delivering renewable sources of energy to help bring sustainability to underdeveloped countries while creating a better, cleaner world. The event was organized and sponsored by EO-LA, a non-profit organization designed to help successful business owners on their path to greater business and personal fulfillment.
