"Golden Quill" Custom Awards

Bennett Awards designed and produced a unique custom awards design called the “Golden Quill” Award for the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors, an organization made up of weekly newspaper publishers and editors from around the world. The Golden Quill custom awards will be presented on an annual basis to recognize the top editorial from the past year. Each year, the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors holds its annual summer conference. The marquee event for this conference is the “Golden Dozen” editorial writing contest, which includes entries from weekly newspaper editors, publishers and writers from across the U.S., Canada, Ireland and the U.K. There are typically between 100 and 150 entries that are judged based on their content, quality and persuasive power, as well as the writer’s willingness to take a stand on an issue.
